The Sonic Parachute Ball MK II is a fun project for kids ages 3 and up, although kids under 8 will need an adult to launch it. Pack the parachute, load it into the ball, then use the tether to launch up to 75 feet. As the ball climbs to its apogee, the rubber bands on the hinge spring the ball open, deploying the parachute. With the chute deployed, the ball makes a gentle descent to the ground.
